RUNDANCE

RUNDANCE was conceived on the beaches of Miami and Tulum where morning runs turn to transient dance parties to beach club beats.

Join us select Thursday nights for two hours of music, dancing and community. We typically start an hour before sunset at the Beacon's parking lot. We always post on the @rundancefree Instagram Account and in the rundance WhatsApp Group a day or two before with more details. Hope to see you there!

The History of Rundance

In the summer of 2021, as our community was emerging from hibernation, we began weekly rundance events in Leucadia as a way to encourage our neighbors to get out of their houses, move their bodies and start nourishing the connections that had laid dormant in the time away from community.

We started on the south end of Neptune with 20 or so friends, and by the time we hit Beacons, we had picked up another dozen. We danced until dark, smiles all around and closed the evening knowing that this was something we wanted and needed.

Through the rest of the year, there were 23 more rundance, dancedance, and Sesshin Art events. We connected with hundreds of people who all wanted to move together, and share uplifting energy.

With that experience reinforcing what we knew in our hearts, we set our sights on going bigger!
